To Lake County Graduating High
We’re pleased to announce that
NIPSCO will be offering its Carolyn B. Mosby scholarships for the 2013-2014
school year. This scholarship program recognizes the first African American
employed by NIPSCO, Carolyn B. Mosby, who was hired in NIPSCO’s Gary Office.
She opened the door of opportunity for NIPSCO to gain the benefits of a diverse

Northwest Indiana are once again partnering to select scholarship award
winners. The Urban League of Northwest Indiana played a key role in NIPSCO’s
successful hiring of Ms. Mosby.
We are seeking the names of
seniors who will be graduating from a high school in Lake County in June of
this year who has an accumulative GPA of 3.5 or better. The students must have
been accepted into a four-year college. Each
student will be required to write an essay (not to exceed 500 words) that
describes them, their life experiences, their aspirations and why the Carolyn
B. Mosby Scholarship would assist them in achieving their goals. After
reviewing the essays, we will select the students to be interviewed by our
