Our Mission

The Urban League of Northwest Indiana, Inc. works to promote, encourage, and enhance services to improve the social, educational, and economic conditions of African Americans and other minority groups in Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties.

What We Do

The Urban League employs a five-point approach to provide economic empowerment, educational opportunities and the guarantee of civil rights for the citizens of Lake, Porter & LaPorte counties in the following areas:

• Education and Youth Empowerment
• Economic Empowerment
• Health and Wellness
• Civic Engagement and Leadership 
• Civil Rights and Social Justice
